Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) a public sector defence unit has extended support to The Akshaya Patra Foundation as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.  This decision to support the mid-day meal programme implemented by the Foundation will benefit about 2,500 children in Medak district, Andhra Pradesh.

N.K. Raju, Executive Director (P&A) of Bharat Dynamics Limited handed over a cheque of Rs. 15 lakh to the Foundation. This contribution will be utilised towards procuring kitchen equipments and supporting mid-day meals in the Government schools of Patancheru Mandal.

Akshaya Patra is currently providing mid-day meals to Government school children in 11 Mandals of Medak district.

Prior to this also Bharat Dynamics Limited has supported Akshaya Patra's cause. It had provided a meal distribution vehicle and funded mid-day meal for school children in Bhanur and Ghanapur schools in Medak district, according to a press release.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation wholeheartedly thanks Bharat Dynamics Limited and is grateful for its philanthropic support.
