Infosys extends further support to beneficiaries of Akshaya Patra

As part of its developmental initiatives, technology giant Infosys has provided further support to children who are beneficiaries of the Akshaya Patra mid-day meal programme in Medak, Hyderabad. Through this initiative, 450 computers have been provided to the schools in 11 Mandals where The Akshaya Patra Foundation serves mid-day meals. Every school has been equipped with one computer. The estimated cost of this move is Rs 60 lakh and approximately 60,000 students are benefitting from this.

Akshaya Patra invited Mr Nagarjuna Reddy, High Court Justice of Andhra Pradesh as a chief guest to inaugurate this initiative. Amongst the other dignitaries who were also present at the inaugural function were Mr Dinakar Babu (IAS), District Collector, Mrs Rajini, District Judge, Mr Ramesh, District Educational Office, Mr Ramachandra Rao, Revenue Divisional Office and Ms Praveena, Medal Educational Officer.
