SBI extends support to Akshaya Patra

State Bank of India (SBI) recently donated a mid-day meal distribution vehicle to The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Hyderabad. This extended support came as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

Rakesh Sharma - General Manager, State Bank of India, MCGRO, Hyderabad, handed over the vehicle to the Foundation in the presence of Srikant Hota - the Deputy General Manager of State Bank of India, Commercial Branch, Visakhapatnam and Niskinchana Bhakta Dasa - Unit President, The Akshaya Patra Foundation.

Currently in Andhra Pradesh, Akshaya Patra is feeding more than 42,000 children. The overall reach of Akshaya Patra is more than 9000 Government schools thereby feeding 1.3 million children across 9 States of India, everyday.

Akshaya Patra wholeheartedly thanks SBI for their valuable contribution.
